Recipe of the Week ~ Peach 'n Creamy Pie

I created the " Patsy Cline Recipe of the Week " prior to hearing Patsy's recording of " Walkin' Dream ", however from the moment I first heard this song I've looked forward to presenting a recipe with a peaches and cream theme. And I don't care if peach season has come and gone! This peaches and cream pie recipe from Moms On-Line is peachy keen! It's tantalizing. Although nothing beats using fresh peaches, you can make this " dreamy, peach and creamy " pie with canned peaches if need be. This lucious recipe comes from the collection of Anna Marie Preziosi-Arguin of New Hampshire. Thank you Anne Marie for sharing this recipe with the world!

Peaches & Cream Pie

1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees (F).

2. Peel, pit, and cut into eighths:

3 or 4 large peaches (you may use equivalent of canned--rinsed and drained)

3. Arrange peaches in: unbaked 9" pastry pie shell

4. Combine:

• 1/2 c. sugar
• 2 T. flour
• dash salt
• 1/4 t. nutmeg
• 1/2 c. heavy cream
• 1/2 t. vanilla

5. Pour over peaches.

6. Bake at 450 degrees (F) for 10 minutes.

7. Reduce heat to 350 degrees (F) and bake for 30 to 40 minutes, or until cream is set.

8. Serve warm.
