Ground and around and around and around...Howdy Everybody! It's time for the Recipe of the Week! Patsifan Jimmy Walker recently had a conversation with Charlie Dick, who fondly recalled Patsy Cline's love of hamburgers and Italian food. So, in Patsy's honor I offer up the recipe of the week ~ round burger patties with an Italian flair! Mama Mia!
You'll need:
Place the chop meat in a bowl. Add the onion, pepper, basil, garlic powder, salt, and mix well. Make 6 patties about 3/4 of an inch thick. Either broil about 4 " from heat, or fry atop stove in a fry pan -- cooking time approx. 10-15 minutes depending on your preferred taste. Turn the burgers once during cooking. During the last minute, spread a small amount of sauce on top of burger and then cover each burger with one slice of cheese. Allow to cook for one minute or until cheese melts slightly. Top burger with additional sauce and serve it on a sesame seed hamburger bun!
