STUFFED MUSHROOMS

Sue said, " This recipe begs for variations and they are easy to create ."
You need:

A package of the big toadstool sized mushrooms.
Eight ounce package of shredded cheese ( your choice of cheddar or col-jack)

1/2 cup bread crumbs
clove garlic -- minced
one bunch green onions, chopped.

Remove the stems from the caps and chop. Saute stems and rest of ingredients in butter until brown. Fill caps with above mixture and bake in 450 degree oven for 10 minutes.

Variation: Brown a pound of sausage and then cook the other ingredients with the sausage and then stuff.
