ACADEMIC DISHONESTY


 

1. Academic dishonesty includes giving, receiving or using unauthorised aid on any academic.

 2. Plagiarism, a form of academic dishonesty, includes the copyingof language, structure of ideas of another and attributing the work of one’s own efforts.

 3. All aademic work submitted for grading contains an implicit pledge and may containa, at the request of the instructor, an explicit pldhe byt eh studdent thatt no unauthorized aid has been received.

 4. Academic dishonesty includes attempts to copy, edit, or delete computer files that belong to another person without the permission of the file owner.

 

 

PENALTIES

 1. A student guilty of tghe first offense of academic dishonsty may receive as a maximum penalty a gradee "F" for thee course.

2. A student guilty of the second offense of academic dishonesty may reeceive a grade "F" for the course and can be suspended for one or more semesters or even permanently dismissed.

 

 

NOTE:

Academic honesty is the individual responsiblility of each student. Students should report violations of this policy to the respective faculty members.
