ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND PROCEDURES


 

FOUR YEARS DEGREE PROGRAMS

Admission to either of the degree programs is based on the completion of the minimum entrance requirements set by the Academic Council of TIP. They are as follow:-

 A. Intermediate ( any discipline ) from any recognized Board of Education with at least 50% pass marks

OR

3 G.C.E. ‘A’ levels with C Grades

OR

American Grade 12 High School Diploma.

B. Satisfactory performance in TIP admission test comprising of --Mathematics, Chemistry and English.

C. Interview by a panel of faculty members.

 

TWO YEAR ASSOCIATE DEGREE

 

The TIP has determined that the minimum requirements for the Textile Technology Associate Degree program are as follow:-

A) Intermediate (any discipline) form any recognized Board of Education will at least 50% pass marks

OR

2 G.C.E. ‘A’ levels with Grades

OR

American Grade 12 High School Diploma

B. Satisfactory Performance in TIP’s English Test.

C. Interview by a panel of faculty members.

 

It should be emphasized that the above requirements set for the degree and Associate Degree programs are the minimum acceptable level of proficiency that a student must obtain. The attainment of these minimums does not automatically imply acceptance. The acceptance of any individual applicant is a decision of TIP’s Admissions Committee and is based on a thorough evaluation of the applicant’s credentials in relation to the pool of potential students.

 

CERTIFICATE COURSES

The minimum requirements for the certificate programs will vary according to requirements for each individual course. These will be published along with the announcement for each course offered.
