Washing the chiles

I then was the chiles in the sink using clean water. While I am washing them, I check for blemishes, holes, creatures, and any other undesirable clues that I may not want to pickle any particular pod.

I do not use the antibacterial handwash shown in the background to wash the chiles...yuck.

The next part of the operation is to chop the chiles.
