32 oz. ketchup 32 oz. water 3/4 cup sugar juice of 1 lemon (more or less to taste) 1 1/2 teaspoon celery seed 1 1/2 ground red pepper 1/2 clove garlic minced (more or less to taste) 1 1/2 onions minced (more or less to taste)
Combine all ingredients & simmer until onions are done.
Hints:
It is wonderful served warm with a
smoked pork roast. You can make up a batch and can it for later use. Just pour
the hot sauce into hot, clean pint or quart canning jars. Place hot lids and
seals onto the jars and place in a hot water bath for 10 to 15 minutes.
