Description
Aloe vera is a desert plant native to East and South Africa. The leaves of the plant can range in size from a few inches to 3 ft. in length.

Preparation and Serving
The leaves are pressed into juice and administered for liver ailments, purify the blood, regulate and cleanse the colon, and soothe ulcers and hemorrhoids. The gel from the inside can be applied to the skin to relieve pain, burning, and itching.
