Description
Jicama is native to Mexico and Central and South america. It measures 6 to 8 inchess and has thin brown skin covering juicy white flesh.

Preparation and Serving
Jicama can be eaten raw in salads and dips or cooked and used in the same manner as potatoes. They can be used as a substitute for water chestnuts and bamboo chestnuts.
