Litchi

Aliases: Litchi or Lychee
Description: The Litchi is the fruit of a tree that originates in southern China. It is 1 to 2 inches in diameter and covered in a thin, rough shell. It is pink to red on the outside and pearly white on the inside. It has a smooth, inedible stone in the center.
Preparation and Serving: The litchi is very flavorful fresh and can be used in fruit salads and used to flavor rice, vegetables, stuffings, and sauces.
