Description
The mango is thought to be native of India. The mango tree grows in tropical climates and average 50 feet in height. They produce an average of 100 fruits a year. Mangoes have smooth skin that can range in color from green, yellow, to reddish in color. The flesh is orange or orange-yellow and highly fragrant.

Preparation and Serving
Mangoes should be peeled before eaten. They are used in much the same way as peaches. They can be used in ice-cream, jams, jellies, marmalade, compote, and juice.
