Description
The serrano chile is small, cylindrical bright green chile. It commonly measures 1 to 2 inches long and ½ to ¾ inches in diameter. It meausures 5000 to 25,000 units on the Scoville scale or heat rating of 6-7.

Preparation and Serving
It is used in salsas, pickled, or roasted and used in sauces.
