Glazed Onions
INGREDIENTS
- 1 lb small white onions, peeled
- 1 T brown sugar
- 1 t raspberry or plain vinegar
- 1 T butter or margerine
DIRECTIONS
- Mix all the ingredients in a 1-quart casserole, cover tightly and microwave 5 minutes.
- Stir well to coat the onions and microwave uncovered 3-5 minutes, or until onions are tender and glazed, stirring every minute to coat the onions.
- Stir and serve.
You may substitute honey or maple syrup for the brown sugar.
You may add 2 teaspoons chopped pecans, walnuts or almonds before serving.
