Marshmallow Cereal Treats

INGREDIENTS

• 1/4 C unsalted butter or margerine
• 10 ounces large marshmallows (about 40), or 5 cups miniature
• 5 cups crunchy cereal (rice krispies, cheeieos, etc.)

DIRECTIONS

1. Put butter in a 2-quart rectangular baking dish. Cover and microwave 40-50 seconds, until melted.
2. Mix in marshmallows. Microwave 1 minute. Stir to prevent any one spot from getting too hot.Microwave anther 1-2 minutes, until marshmallows have puffed all over or until smooth.
3. Quickly stir in cereal before marshmallows cool, being sure to evenly coat the cereal with the marshmallow mixture.
4. Press evenly into the dish.
5. Cool until set and cut into squares.

Makes 24-30 squares
