The most difficult situation I can remember is the car accident that occurred in my family's backyard. This accident took place about three years ago when I was in sixth grade. What happened? Well, a car came off the freeway heading west for Chicago and crashed in our backyard.
This was a nice looking blue ninety-four corvette that was involved. The driver was from Detroit headed for Chicago. Just our luck, he started having problems with the car. He crossed the grassy median into the opposite flow of traffic at the highway's speed hitting nothing except a Lincoln car slightly. He then went down the hill of the freeway and dipped under a wire fence. He was going so fast, he flew over the road behind our house. He then drove straight for our fence.
This fence he went through was a solid oak privacy fence. When the car came through, you could hear the splitting of wood. He then went through our swing set of which two of my brothers were on. It was a miracle they weren't hurt. After all that, he went through our small pear tree like nothing. He ended up hitting and stopping at the satellite dish. There was a huge pole filled with concrete supporting the dish and was bent by the car. It was a miracle the driver and passenger survived especially since the air bags failed to inflate. Lucky for them they had their seat belts on.
You could say that there are two morals to the story. First, you must always keep your car in control and know what to do if it goes out of control. Second, seat belts save lives even with no air bags. For your own safety, you should always wear your seat belt.
