Mob Zombie Boogie Woogie
Well the story begins in New Jersey on Halloween
The Mafia dumped some bodies in the Meadowland green
Near the chemical plant all the locals called "squeaky-clean"
But now we've got a problem 'cause the stiffs don't want to keep still
They're rising from the dead from the "squeaky-clean" chemical spill
And now they're coming through the Holland with nothing on their minds but ill will (kill kill kill)
Chorus
Do the Mob Zombie Boogie Woogie
Do the Mob Zombie Boogie Woogie
Do the Mob Zombie Boogie Woogie
Do the Mob Zombie Boogie Woogie
Jump to the left, slide to the right
Stick your arms straight out, stay up all night
Kiss Bob De Niro and dance till the morning light
Well Jill's a pretty little bleeding-heart lawyer from the EPA
She meets some squeaky-clean rep and says "Boy I'm gonna make you pay"
But a deal is finagled over coffee and bagels in the True Love Café
So now Jill and Don* are like Juliet and Romeo
And Jill convinces Don to kiss that whistle and blow
But the guys get wise and Don gets whacked, don't you know, oh oh oh
Chorus
Stick your arms straight out, stay up all night
Eat some brains and dance until the morning light
So what to do with the body of Don Jill must now decide
Should she put him in the swamp where the chemicals will him revive
And spend her life as Don's Mob Zombie bride? You decide!
[There are two possible endings to this song, the "heart" ending and the "conscience" ending. The audience gets to decide which one they want. In the "heart" ending, Jill decides to bury Don in the swamp and live forever as his Zombie Bride. In the "conscience" ending, Jill decides to bury Don at sea and grows up to be a strong, independent woman.]
"Heart" ending:
Well they got two kids and a house in Hackensack
And Don, he's doin' pretty well considering the fact
How many guys do you know can boogie woogie even after coming back from a big whack?
"Conscience" ending:
Well Jill kept her principles and buried her lover at sea
And now she lives in Northampton and practices reflexology
And at night she goes to the Iron Horse and does the Mob Zombie Boogie Woogie**
Chorus
Stick your arms straight out, stay up all night
Do the Mob Zombie Boogie Woogie Dance*** until the morning light!
*I always hear this name as John, but several people have told me that it is in fact Don, so I defer to them
**Town and venue change according to where the song is performed
***This song is performed most often around Halloween, so this line may also be "Have a Happy Halloween and dance"
