Netti's Recipes

Here are two of my fav recipes, of course they are chocolate, MMMMM, hope you like :)) Netti

Fudgy Scotch Ring:

1 cup semi-sweet choc morsels
1 cup butterscotch morsels
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup walnut pieces
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup Walnut or Pecan halves

melt chocolate and butterscotch morsels w/ milk, stir until melted and thickened.
Remove and add walnut pieces and vanilla.
Blend well.
Chill until thickened (approx one hour)
Line bottom of 9" pie plate w/ square of aluminum foil.
Spread 3/4 cup of walnut halves in bottom of plate,
spoon choc mixture carefully in small mounds and smooth over.
Decorate top w/ remaining Walnut halves.
Chill for a day then slice into small pieces.
(will be very hard to slice, but well worth it)
Keep Chilled, VERY rich.

"Lethal" Brownies:

1 cup Flour
1 tsp each of Baking Powder and Salt
4 to 6 squares of unsweetened chocolate
2/3 cup Margarine
2 Cup sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp Vanilla
1 1/2 chopped nuts

Mix well: flour, baking powder and salt, set aside
Melt chocolate and margarine in a covered bowl in Microwave.
Stir in sugar.
Stir in eggs, vanilla and then flour mixture, then nuts.
Turn into a sprayed 13x9x2" pan.
Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 25 minutes
or until finger pressed lightly on surface leaves a slight identation.
Cool in pan on rack.
Cut into 48 bars.

NOTE:  Recipe can be halved and baked in a 8x8x2" pan.

NOTE: I put 1 cup of nuts into the batter,
the other 1/2 cup I combine with 6 oz (1 small package or 1 cup) chocolate chips.
I spread this on top of the uncooked batter
and increase the cooking timefive to ten minutes
or until you press it and it springs back a little.
