Brett's Nag till you get 'em cookies
Ingredients:
2 1/4 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 cup parkay (2 sticks)
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate morsels
(Nestle is the best for this=1 12oz pkg)
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Preheat oven to 375
Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl.
Put parkay, sugars and vanilla in a fairly large bowl.
Soften this in the microwave until parkay is melted.
Take out and beat together with wire wisk or fork.
Add eggs, whisking after each one.
Now wisk in flour mixture a little at a time.
Stir in morsels and nuts if used.
Refridgerate dough for 5-10minutes until lightly chilled.
Place rounded tablespoons of dough on ungreased baking sheets
about 2 inches apart.
Bake about 10 minutes until golden brown.
Remove immediately and place on old newspaper.
Hints:
1) Parkay makes a difference in baking...you can substitute
butter or (god forbid) other margarine.
2) Pan cookies can also be made with this recipe...
just spread the dough into a pan and bake until golden brown
aprox. 20-25 minutes.
3) Add other items that sound good...
butterscotch morsels...
flaked coconut...
peanut butter chips...
m/m candies...
