Herb Parmesan Biscuits
- 1 cup All Purpose Flour
- 1/2 cup Butter, unsalted
- 1-1/4 cups Grated Parmesan
- 3/4 tsp. Marjoram
- 3/4 tsp. Oregano
- 3/4 tsp. Basil
- 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
Butter should be softened. Place the flour, butter, cheese, and herbs in a mixing bowl. Cut in the butter with a pastry blender or the tips of your fingers. Moisten with Worcestershire sauce and just enough wine to form a dough. Roll into a log, about 1-1/2-inches in diameter, and chill until firm. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Slice the chilled dough into rounds 1/4-inch thick, place on an ungreased cookie sheet, and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until very lightly browned. Yield: About 4 dozen.
These savory biscuits should be stored in loosely covered containers and may be served at room temperature or reheated briefly in the oven before serving.
