BUTTERNUT POUND CAKE

3 c. sugar
2 sticks butter or margarine
1/2 c. Crisco
3/4 c. evaporated milk
2 Tbsp. butternut flavoring
5 eggs
3 1/4 c. cake flour
1/4 c. water

Cream butter, sugar and Crisco. Add eggs, one at a
time, beating well after each addition. Add cake flour,
alternately with milk. Add 1/4 cup water and flavoring.

Grease and flour pound cake pan. Pour batter into pan. Place
pan in cold oven. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 45 minutes. You
can preheat oven.
