EAGLE BRAND MILK POUND CAKE
3 1/2 c. plain flour, sifted
1 can Eagle Brand milk
4 sticks butter
8 eggs
3 c. sugar
1/2 pinch salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
Cream butter, sugar, milk and vanilla. Add eggs, one at
a time. Add dry ingredients. Beat until smooth. Grease and
flour 10-inch tube pan. Bake at 300 degrees for about 2 hours. This
recipe makes a large pound cake, so be sure to use the large
tube pan.
You may add 4 tablespoons cocoa to flour and have a
chocolate pound cake.
