GINGERBREAD
3 3/4 cups flour
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 tablespoon baking soda
1/2 tablespoon cinnamon
1/2 tablespoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups hot water
1 1/2 cups molasses
1/4 cup oil
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease and flour a 9-inch by 12-inch baking dish.
Sift dry ingredients together into a bowl. Add the wet ingredients and mix
until smooth. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
Remove from oven and let cool.
