2 c. plain flour
2 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco (not butter or
margarine)
6 large eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla (or choice
of flavoring)

Put all ingredients into a large mixer bowl and beat for
10 minutes. Pour into greased and floured tube pan and bake at
350 degrees. If a 9-inch tube pan is used, baking time will be 1 1/4
hours.

Note: This cake forms a delicious crusty top which is
caused by the use of Crisco. Use regular Crisco only.
