Red Velvet Cake


1/2 C. Crisco		2 Eggs
1 1/2 C. Flour		2 C. Sugar
1/2 t. Salt		1 T. Cocoa
1 C. Buttermilk		1 t. vanilla
1 Bottle Red Food Coloring

Cream the above ingredients together.  Beat well with mixer.  Put 1 t. 
baking soda with 1 T. vinegar and add to the above mixture.  Stir in 
well.  Bake in greased and floured pans at 350 for 30-35 minutes.

Icing

Stir 1/4 cup flour in 1 cup of milk.  Cook over low heat until thick.  Set 
aside and let cool.  Then cream together to the below ingredients:

1/2 C. Crisco		1 Stick Margarine
1 C. Sugar		1 t. vanilla

Beat until you can spread it over the cake.
