Cream Cheese Clouds

 

This recipe for cream cheese clouds is super simple and gets rave reviews. Can be made up to a week in advance and its elegant even without the nuts.

 

1-8oz pkg cream cheese
1/2 c.powdered sugar
1/4 tsp.vanilla
1 c.heavy cream
1 can cherry pie filling
chopped nuts (optional)
makes 10.

Mix cream cheese, sugar and vanilla at medium speed on electric mixer. Gradually add heavy cream; mix well. Whip until thickened. Using the back of a spoon, shape into ten 3-1/2" shells.

Place on waxed paper-lined cookie sheet. Freeze 2 hrs or overnight. When ready to serve fill with cherry pie filling. Sprinkle nuts if desired.
