Apple Pie Filling (Overnight)

Ingredients:

1 cup sugar

1/3 cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp nutmeg

1 tsp cinnamon

dash salt

8 cut sliced apples

3 tbs butter or margarine

 

Preparation:

------------

Prepare filling, minus butter, and let sit overnight.

 

Heat oven to 425 degrees. Make crust for two-crust pie. Apply bottom crust and pour in filling. Dot filling with butter. Apply top crust and cut slits for venting. Cover edge of crust w/foil to prevent burning and remove during last 15 minutes of cooking.

Bake 40-50 minutes or until crust is browned and filling bubbles through slits.

 

Makes filling for one 10" pie.
