Sweet Potato Pie
3 small- to medium-sized sweet potatoes
1/2 stick butter or margarine
1/4 cup cream
1/8 cup water
1 eggs
1 to 1 1/2 cups sugar
1 tbsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. butter flavor
Bake or microwave sweet potatoes until done. Peel and place in a large mixing bowl. Mash potatoes and make a well in center. Add butter to potatoes and allow it to melt; mix to blend. Add remaining ingredients and mix until somewhat smooth.(Add/subtract spices according to your taste--if desired, you can add a pinch of ginger or mace). Put in a deep-dish pie crust and bake at 350 degrees until golden brown (about 45 minutes). Let cool, and serve warm or cold.
