1 large fryer
1 cup cream or milk
2 tablespoons water
2 eggs
2 cups flour
Salt and pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 cup bacon fat
1 cup shortening 1
Tablespoon butter
Cut chicken into frying pieces. Add salt and pepper to chicken. Set aside for 15 minutes. Mix cream, water, eggs and beat. Pour cream mixture over chicken and allow to soak for 1 hour. Add paprika to flour, then roll chicken in flour.
Melt bacon fat, shortening and butter in skillet. Drop chicken in hot grease and fry on medium heat until golden brown
