Byerly's Broccoli Salad

Makes 6 servings

5 cups broccoli florets, blanched, drained and cooled
10 slices bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled
1/2 cup golden raisins
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/4 cup chopped red onion
1 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons white wine vinegar

1. Combine broccoli, bacon, raisins, sunflower seeds and onion in a large bowl.

2. In a small bowl, make dressing by combining mayonnaise, sugar and vinegar; stir until sugar has dissolved. Let stand for 10 minutes.

3. Toss dressing with broccoli mixture. Cover and refrigerate for several hours before serving.
