BASIC STIR FRY MARINADE

3 tbls. Soy sauce

2 tbls sherry, orange juice, brandy, or vinegar

1-3 teaspoons Chinese five-spice powder

1-2 teaspoons honey

1/2 teaspoon. granulated garlic (2 cloves, fresh)

white and/or cayenne pepper to taste

 

Whisk ingredients together; use to coat 1 lb. thinly sliced meat, poultry or seafood. Cover and refrigerate to allow flavor to penetrate the meat. Stir fry with four cups assorted raw vegetables, chopped into bite-sized pieces.
