Fried Okra and Green Tomatoes

 

 

Combine first 3 ingredients in a medium bowl; add corn meal and toss gently. Pour oil (about 2 inches) into a large skillet; heat to 375 degrees. Fry 1/2 of mixture until golden brown. Remove with slotted spoon and drain. Repeat procedure. Sprinkle with salt and serve immediately.
