Vidalia Onion Pie

• 5 cups thinly sliced Vidalia onions
• 4 eggs
• 1 1/2 cups milk
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
• 1 unbaked pie shell
• 1/2 margarine

Saute onions in margarine; place in pie shell. Mix eggs, milk, and seasonings. Pour over onions. Sprinkle cheese on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
