French Salad Dressing

2/3 cup white sugar

2 teaspoons salt

2 teaspoons celery seed

2 teaspoons dry mustard

2 teaspoons paprika

1 medium onion

1/2 cup white vinegar

2 cups corn or other vegetable oil

Slice onion into quarters. Mix all in a blender and pour into two large salad dressing jars. A red onion makes a nice color effect but yellow onion tastes just a good!

P.S. This recipe is easily made "lite" by reducing sugar to 1/2 cup and increasing vinegar to 3/4 cup. Taste is still yummy!
