Lasagna
Ingredients:
1 12oz. package lasagna noodles (cooked) 1 pound ground beef (browned)
1 cup chopped onion 3 cups water
2 tsp. salt 1 garlic clove (minced)
2 6oz. cans tomato paste 1 tsp. parsley
1/4 tsp. pepper 1 pound ricotta cheese
1/2 pound mozzarella cheese (sliced) 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
Directions:
Brown ground beef, drain, add onion, salt, tomato paste, pepper, garlic, parsley, and water. Cook slowly 30 mins. stirring frequently. While this is cooking , cook lasagna noodles according to package directions. Put thin layer of sauce in a 10x13 pan, layer noodles, mozzarella , ricatta cheese, sauce, top layer should be sauce. Sprinkle top layer with parmesan cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 mins. (until bubbly)
I serve this with garlic bread or bread sticks brushed with garlic butter, and a tossed salad. Lasagna can be put together the night before and kept in the frig. until the next day, then just remove and bake. Add 5-10 mins to bake time.
