WHAT THEY SAID ABOUT TURKISH TEA ?
|
Hello Ali Riza, I am glad to hear from you. I live in Oregon, USA. Can I find a set of those teacups in the United States? I hope I can find this kind of tea, I want to make it for breakfast for myself and my husband. Kesch Allen
Caykur's Earl Grey Teas "I went to a Turkish fruit and veg store today which also carries some groceries. I saw the Apple tea Holly mentioned a while ago and also spotted a stack of tins. White tins with black writing. I asked how much they were and it was only $2. I brought one home and it is black tea. Very finely ground and the smell told me it is some relative of good old Earl Grey. Well I am not sure, all writing is Turkish; "Çaykur Kokulu Harman Çay Export". It tastes quite nice by the way! A bargain..." NAD
A QUESTION AND AN ANSWER " You state no pesticides are used anywhere in Turkey on tea. How do you control fungus (fungicides), mites (miticides), and insect pests (insecticides), and also weeds (herbicides). I do realise this is a complex topic, and I appreciate the sensitivity of the issue.Prof. Randy Altman "There are not important fungus, mites and insect pests in Turkish tea gardens. I think this is a God-send situation or a gift of the nature. The reason for this happy event is heavy winter conditions. While other tea growing countries pluck tea in whole year, it snows in Turkish Black Sea Region and no pests live in those temperature.
