Tortilla Pizzas

8 flour tortillas
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1 can jalapenos or green chilis, drained and chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 Tbl cilantro, chopped
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Preheat oven to 300.  Wrap the pile of tortillas in foil and warm in oven for ten minutes.   After taking out of oven, increase oven temperature to 375.

Arrange tortillas on layer on baking sheets.   Spread thin layer of sauce on each tortilla.  Sprinkle peppers, garlic, cilantro and pepper over sauce.   Add cheese on top.  Bake 10-15 minutes.

Jo's Comments: Ray loved this recipe (as will kids, I'm sure.)   His comment:  "Goddamn Good."  It's a good snack or would be good for dinner served with some bean dish...   I have a bunch of those, after being a vegetarian for ten years!

For an appetizer, cut tortilla pizzas into fourths!
