Auntie Rhoda's Polish Cake
8oz butter or margarine
8oz sugar
4 eggs, beaten
8oz self-raising flour
2oz walnuts, chopped (or nut mix>
2oz glace cherries, chopped
2oz chocolate, chopped (Flake or Aero etc.)
milk to mix
Grease and line an 8-inch round cake tin. Cream butter and sugar, add eggs, then the flour gradually. Add the walnuts, cherries and chocolate and fold in. Bake at Gas Mark 3 (325F/160C) for 1 1/2 hours.
