First, let's check out the Calumet building, on the corner of Chippewa & Franklin Streets.

On the west wing of the building, at 56 W Chippewa St., there's Bacchus at the Calumet. It's in the former home of such legends as the Calumet Arts Cafe, & The Restaurant at the Calumet.
Bacchus opens at 5PM, Tuesday-Saturday, serving the best of wines & dinners around the Chippewa/downtown area (Yummy! 5 stars in my book). Now open 'till midnight on Fridays & Saturdays!

In the middle of the Calumet building, at 54 W. Chippewa, there's the Third Room. Considered Chippewa's "Chill" & student bar early & weeknights, but a true party bar late nights & weekends. More friendly, & socialable, with less cliques than most clubs.
The Third Room opens at 8PM, Wednesday-Thursday, 5PM Fridays for happy hour, & 7PM Saturdays. They play a wide variety of rock, hip-hop & underground music throughout the week, with hip-hop DJs playing Friday-Saturday nights.
The music is fed outside to their garden patio bar (one of the largest in Downtown Buffalo), where they also have live outdoor concerts, play movies, HDTV video, & wallpaper on their 15-foot screen. The patio is HEATED most nights for smoking & outdoor fun.
The Third Room just installed 3 additional UFO-style heaters on the patio for the winter... way cool (or hot?)! Check it out.
People often ask what we have that other clubs don't.

In the east wing of the building, the former home of the Irish Classical Theater, at 52 W. Chippewa, Is the Latin club, La Luna.
La Luna features live Latin DJs playing Latin dance every Friday & Saturday night. Sometimes there's a live band on weekends. Wednesdays they have an alternative music DJ.
La Luna has a comfortable, clean, laid-back atmosphere, with more seating than most clubs before midnight, & heavy dancing & partying after about 1AM.
I'm not a latin music nut, & I hardly know the language. But I always wind up having a good time due to the unique variety of music, drinks, & friendly staff.
They're open at 5PM for happy hour on Fridays, & 7PM Saturdays.
