Thai Meal

Several people eating Thai food together is more enjoyable because the greater the number of diners the greater the number and hence the variety of dishes can be ordered. Usually in a restaurant, two persons would order three dishes (not including soup) in addition to their own individual plates of steamed rice, three diners, four dishes, and so on. Each person chooses whatever he or she wants from shared dishes and eats them with their own rice. Soups are enjoyed at the same time with other dishes in small bowls. Fruit and dessert are served after the meal.

The ideal Thai meal is a harmonious blend of the hot, spicy, subtle, sweet and sour tastes and is meant to be equally satisfying to see, smell and eat. The followings are samples of meal menus for a single person, 2 persons and 4 persons.
