Welcome to the Boston Chapter of Les Dames d'Escoffier. Les Dames is dedicated to supporting and promoting the achievements of women in the culinary profession. We also strive to foster excellence through educational and charitable activities. Les Dames d'Escoffier is the only organization of its kind. A worldwide society of professional women of high achievement in the fields of food, beverage and hospitality.
In 1959, Les Dames des Amis d'Escoffier was founded by Eda Saccone to promote the understanding, appreciation and knowledge of food, wine, and the arts of the table. After several years the Directors broadened the scope of the Society and in 1981 founded the Charles L. Banino Foundation, named in the honor of the Chef, Managing Director and President of the Ritz Carlton, Boston. In 1992, Les Dames des Amis d'Escoffier and the Banino Foundation merged into the Les Dames d'Escoffier, International. a tax exempt, non-profit corporation in accordance with State and Federal Laws, known as Lees Dames d'Escoffier, Boston.
