Letters From People Who Wrote Letters

I have been getting a lot of nice letters. I thought I would post them here and share them with all. I wish I thought of this before I deleted most of them.

I need to ask this question in light of what else I have seen on the net.Now then why is it that I can find more pictorial content on the likes of Barbara Eden and Elizabeth Montgomery than I can poke a stick at but when it come to the likes of the gorgous Barbara Feldon I am seriously scraping the bottom of the barrel. To me this does not add up,there must be untaped arcives just waiting to be put up on the net in vast quantites, and lets face it she had the guys going for a long time even before Get Smart as a model. John
Hmmm...I'm not sure about that phrase 'scraping the bottom of the barrel', but I agree as to the lack of 'Barbara-bandwith' on the net.

Oh yes I heard that Barbara Feldon was dead could you please clear things up 4 me and tell me if she is dead and when she died! I would appricate this dearly! Thanks
Well I didn't hear anything. Not that they would call me in the event.

Hi, Your website is great. I saw Barbara in the female version of "The Odd Couple" last year at an upstate playhouse near NYC. Who was NOT in love with this woman? Paul Please check out the "This Edition's Poster" section of my site as well!! http://www.scrabo.com
Paul has a very eclectic site. Pay a vistit. Well actually, it's free. It would be great if somebody had a playbill of the above event and really great if they sent me a scan.

Just curious, the band Toto had a song called, "99" just wondering if you know if that song was in reference to 99 on Get smart? thanks, Ching
Hmmm...tough question on many counts. First, I'd have to go buy a Toto album and run the risk that someone might see me.Second, I'd have to listen to a Toto album... .

How do you by the spy purse
Money .

Hey, I like your site a lot! I was wondering if you know Barbara's faith? As far as if she is a Christian, Catholic, Jew, Jehovah's witness or just nothing at all! Thanks ~Jessica
Hey Jessica, thanks for the compliment. I'm afraid I can't answer your question, though. Out of respect for her privacy, I will not discuss her politics, religion, or whether or not she likes Starbucks. Some topics are too sensitive.

I recently watched the "Get Smart" edition of Inside TV Land and heard them play a song called "99" sung by Barbara Feldon and I was wondering how I might get a recording of that song. Any suggestions of who I might need to contact? Devoted Get Smart Fan, Crystal
Alright, now you made me feel like a deprived child. Not only did my folks refuse to buy me the spy purse, but I also missed out on that edition of Inside TV land! If anyone has a copy, I'd like to see it. As far as getting a copy of the song, good luck. You might try hounding the folks at TV Land. Maybee there is a TV land chat group where you could find somone to bargain with: "Willing to trade 10 episodes of 'My Mother the Car' for the 99 song..."

Hi there, a great page you have :.) On your letter page there was a person that asked about this song. There is a CD on Rhino records called "Spy Music" that features the 99 song. There also is an Australian reissue 45 rpm record with a Mod picture sleeve that has 99 song and the flip side "Max".... sorry about that Chief:.) About thirty years ago I found a number of Radio Station Promo copies of that 45 rpm record in a thrift store, But did not buy them . I later thought I should make the investment, but they were sold by the time I returned. Missed it by that much:.) Take care JR.
Well, there you go. Thank you J.R. and thank you Rhino Records. Isn't the internet wonderfull. J.R. learned one of the golden rules about thrift store shopping: When you see it, buy it. There's always somebody with your exact taste (and more spend money) right behind you.

Hi, Great Barbara site! I was surprised to see on the Internet Movie Database tonight Barbara's year of birth listed as 1932 (there's a little blurb in her IMDB bio stating that the commonly found 1941 date was a lie). She's really going to be 70 in March??? I was wondering which date you put stock in. Are there any recent pictures of Barbara? Thanks, Eric
Ya know, Eric, I remember hearing that the '41 date was a lie, too. Just where I heard, I can't remember. I'm sure it's 'classified' information anyway. If I told ya, she'd have to kill me. As far as recent pictures go, I don't have any. Remember, this site is put together from things I found in thrift stores and shops. She hasn't been in the media lately, so I haven't found anything. She's still doing theatre, so there should be some publicty photos out there somewhere. If anybody comes accross some, would they be so kind as to share with the rest of the class?

I was wondering if Barbara is single? 'cause I heard that she wasn't and that her boyfriend now was a L.A writer is that true? Ryan R
Hmmm....Ya know, I won't find out the answer to that 'til I find it in an ol' TV Guide in some thrift store. By then, it will be old news.

rock journalist collectorhi,do you have a videolist to trade? algoesalgo
I'm not too sure what this means. I think that if I move to a foreign country, I would be considered a 'Rock Journalist'. Here, I'm just some guy with too much time on his hands.

Hiya, Props to your website. I love the audio clips especially the one of Barbara hosting that Special Edition show of the 1970's. She seemed awfully proud about the story regarding the Hookers Ball! I also liked the clip from the Smothers Brothers show. I looked over some of the letters other people have written. In regards to the "99"/"Max" songs they're on the Get Smart CD which is the re-issue of an old album. It has a lot of samples from various GS eps. with Don doing a Max intro into each one. The CD is available at Amazon and CD.now and people can find the album on ebay. As far as a recent pic. of Barbara the only thing I have is a photo copy of her in her apartment from Architectural Digest (spring '02) and of course there was the NBC 75th anniversary show where she talks about "getting some" during the Sexual Revolution. She was born in 1932 because she graduated college in 1955 and was married in 1958. Of course, in the acting world she has to hide her age. So does Don Adams, he's really 79. And, as far as marital status she was married to Lucien Verdoux Feldon from 58' to 66(or so) then lived with GS producer Burt Nodella for 11 years then moved back to NY permanently. She wrote a book that's coming out this winter called Living Alone And Loving It. I'm sure you can guess what it's all about. She's supposedly been single but has dated occassionaly since moving back to NY. Whew! did I bore you? Sorry about that chief. Great Site, tvnutt, aka, Jenna :)
Well thanks for the props. I hope props are good.I'd like to see that picture from Architectural Digest.
A while a go, I was in a pub chatting with a fellow patron. He wasn't that intersting, so my eyes kept drifting to the TV set above his shoulder. I soon realized I was watching clips of 'Get Smart' and people being interviewed. Those people were, of course, Don Adams and Barbara Feldon. I shouted to the barkeep to make it louder. unfortunatly, there was a ballgame on the other TV's. My intentions being misunderstood, the wrong set was made louder. Looking around the bar, I realized I would never be able to explain myself, so I watched the rest of the interview trying to lip-read. Sports bars; what a stupid idea. I think the show was some sort of 'Where are they now' type program.

Hi: Can you tell me where I can get a picture of beautiful Barbara Feldon? Do you have an address for her? Thank you, Craig
Hey Craig, photos are pretty much everywhere. Just do a search on the ol' web. Try ebay. As far as the address, you're on your own. I wrote to two that I had and got no response. Either they were no longer functional, or she's way too busy for the likes of me. A third possibilty is that some secratary screened me out. I'm sure I fall into the 'weirdo' file.

Is it true that Ms. Feldon wear wigs through the season's on Get Smart she never should her real hair?
I don't know the answer and can't think of anything goofey to say.

Dear Sir, I visited your site "Barbara Feldon Archives" at Geocities. The site dedicated to Barbara Feldon, a talented and beautiful actress excelling in Movies and television. The division of the site into other notable links gives the user the urge to strive for more. A clean interface with soothing color selections gives this site a prolific look and feel. I feel that it deserves much more than being hosted with Geocities, as most of the people interested in these subjects might not be aware of its existence and they would not be benefited from the repository of information the site has. The irrelevant ad banner of Geocities on the right hand side of the page also tends to distract the users attention. Moreover, you could be missing out on the features and services that your service provider may not be able to give you in reaching out to a wider audience. This is where we could help you with our relentless pursuit of a single goal - helping our clients communicate at a higher level. ZZZzzzzzzz... Huh? Oh I'm sorry did you say something? "The division of the site into other notable links gives the user the urge to strive for more." More what? After me, there is no more, Buck-o! "A clean interface with soothing color selections gives this site a prolific look and feel" What the hell are you talking about? 1
