NOTE:The data provided in Franklin county is, at best, incomplete. The data for Franklin County on Reel 690 of the 1870 US Census is abominable. Much of the data is impossible to read due to extremely poor reproduction, never-mind the poor handwriting when data is legible. Surprisingly, the reproduction quality for the data for Orleans County (on the same reel), is amazingly good. There are some bad spots, but, in general, it was fairly easy to read the data for that county.
Note that no McAllisters were found in Franklin county (for what that may be worth given the poor shape of the data).
