"HOT CROSS BUNS"
in BreadMaker


For Easter But A Treat Any Time!
We Like Them Toasted & Buttered

Makes 15 Buns


1 1/8 cup water
1 egg
1 1/2 tbsp. powdered milk
1/4 sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/4 cup shortening
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/3 cup mixed peel
1/3 cup raisins
3 1/2 cup flour
2 tsp. yeast

1 egg yolk
mixed with 2 tbsp. water

1/2 cup icing sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1/2-1 tbsp. milk

Put in Bread Maker
(You Know The Order)
Set on Dough Cycle
Cut into 15 pieces on a
floured board when done!
Shape into buns & place in a
9"X13" pan!
Let rise 50 minutes!
With a sharp knife cut a cross
on the top of each bun!
Brush with yolk mix

Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 min.
Remove from pan & cool on rack!
Put a cross with the icing on each bun!
