The town records contain only a couple of items in reference to this war;
a) July 20, 1812 - Town voted to give each militia man belonging to this town who has already been or may hereafter be detached to go into the army under the present six months establishment the sum of ten dollars per month including the sum voted by the United States.
b) September 29, 1814 - Town voted to raise $100.00 for procuring arms and ammunition of war for defense of this and adjacent towns, in the present critical and alarming times. |

Unlike the Civil War page there is not a lot of information about the men who served in the War of 1812. The following list are the men of Rochester that we know of that served in this conflict. If I can find any additional information about these men I will add to this page.
