KOREAN WAR 1950-1953
The Korean War was the first 'hot' war to erupt from the global cold war.
Three bloody years of fighting ended without a winner or a loser of the war.
The result of the war was 5 million dead, missing and wounded and an uneasy peace.
The United States suffered 25,604 killed in action,
103,492 wounded, 8529 missing, and 12,219 captured.
The following information about Rochester men in the Korean War was researched
by the nice people at the Rochester Library. Without their efforts this page would not have been possible.
The following is not a complete list of Korean War Soldiers, but it is a start. Please email me if you know of
any soldiers that should be placed on it.
