SOURCE: Recorded in December 2000 this plot is off Summer Street in East Rochester. It is on private property and is located on top of a wooded hill. The plot is roughly 30 feet by 30 feet. surrounded by a stone wall that is collapsing and is overgrown with trees. The headstones have sunk into the ground so only a few inches are showing of the stones and trees are growing besides the headstones. It appears that no one has cared for this cemetery for at least a hundred years. The stones are rough and not polished and the writing has been worn off. The names of everyone buried in this cemetery have been lost. It appears that this cemeterty was used in the 1700's because the headstones have such an aged look.

There are four headstones that can be seen that are above the ground and it appears the other headstones have been broken off or sunk into the ground. SUBMITTED BY: R. Griffin 12/08/2000
