The Ariel Wine & Beer
Society is here to enable our members and guests to enjoy themselves
whilst sampling the delights of various wines and beers. The following list is a
brief
resume of our events. They normally take the form of friendly, informal, but
educational
tastings, normally hosted by one of our committee members. There is a fee of £6.00
p.a. for BBC
Club members and additional fees to cover the cost of the evenings materials, around
£5

An entertaining evening, as usual. Same officers and commitee as last year, which sees Dave Renwick as Chairman, Roger Stocker, secretary and Gul Lilarum as treasurer, the committee is:-Dave Renwick, Roger Stocker, Penny Harrison, Joe Willis, Gul Lilarum, John Winfield, Dave Charlton, Deepa Gulhane, Andrew Latham and Ron Horspool.
Burns Supper. Held at the Woodlands Sports Centre.
Port Tasting. - From White Port through to a 1985 Vintage via 20 year old tawny.
Mixed case tasting. We have brought 2 wines cases, mail order. WHat sort of wines do you get?
An evening of Ireland, presented by Joe Willis.
The annual wine drive steered by Jim Graham.
Wild West (of the USA). An evening of North American wines by Dave Renwick
A beer tasting by Dave Charlton

The annual Ale Trail, Depart from a City of London location. Organised by Dave Renwick and Roger Stocker
Following Dave Renwicks visit to NZ we will taste some of their wines.
Ron Horspool's annual Sparkling wine moved back to the summer.

Tonight will be a beer tasting. Details to follow.
Some of the winners of the annual International Wine Challenge will be tasted, lead by Andrew Latham and held at Television Centre.
An evening with St. Andrew. Haggis, tattie, neeps and all the traditional wee drams etc.
A committee presentation. Festive wines and food.
The start of a new millennium??, a review of the last? Details yet to be finalised but watch this space for a very special evening. A committee presentation.
