This page is dedicated to my dear friend---Sammy Boy, my cat---

I have a very sad story to tell you. As I write this page, I am very broken hearted. There is a pain deep in my heart and I need to write this for Sammy who was one terrific cat.

While I was away surprising my parents on a Valentine's Day visit, Sammy died. I didn't even know he had died until this morning, until a child had come over to play with my children. As I opened the door, I noticed a note attached to my screen door. This is what it said--

To whom it may concern, I'm sorry to inform you that your cat died. He ran out under my car. I didn't even see him. I 'm so sorry. I would like to give my sincerest apologies. Please call me if there is anything I can do for you. Once again, I'm so sorry. I just didn't see him.

I called Brandi and wanted to know where my Sammy Boy was. So she told me, and as I looked up, I saw him through the screen door laying beyond the rock garden. Sure enough, Sammy was dead. I felt so bad knowing that he laid there all day and all night long in the cold! I walked over to him to see if it could have been another cat, a different cat, not my cat! I was wrong. It was Sammy. As my eyes swelled with tears, I could hear my daughter cry from inside the house. Why was Sammy laying there dead I thought? For some reason we do not know, God took him from us on a day we will remember forever.

When our screen door was not closed completely, Sammy used to open the screen door with his big paw and come inside the house when he wanted to. When the screen door was closed, he used to meow at us to let him in. He was a funny cat. He used to walk my daughter to the bus stop, each time stopping at the top of the hill to watch her catch the bus. He was orange and very fluffy. I will surely miss his personality, for it was a very different one that I have never known.

My husband is coming home soon. I have told him that his buddy died. We are going to bury him today. Sammy's little sister died when she was just 3 days old. She is buried also here on our land.

Maybe you don't like cats, maybe dogs are your preference--but no matter what kind of animal it is--they will always find a place in my heart. For the Lord has made special friends just for us. We have horses, cats, chickens, and a dog here at my ranch. They are all God's gifts to us--God bless each and everyone---yours and mine. Let us treat them with kindness and love.

Thank you for listening,

AZCAT ^..^

PS-Come spring time, Brandi has a friend that has a pregnant cat. She will let us have the pick of the litter. Hopefully, there will be one that looks like Sammy Boy!

YOU WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN
