Chocolate Buttercream Icing

2 tsp. clear vanilla
5 Tbsp. water (more if needed)
1/2 C. shortening
1/2 C. margarine of butter (1 stick)
1/2 t. salt
1/4 C. cocoa
2 lbs. powdered sugar

In a mixer bowl cream shortening, margarine or butter, vanilla, water, and salt. Slowly add cocoa and sugar. Beat at medium speed till creamy. May add a bit more water if needed.
