Mom's Christmas Kisses

4 egg whites
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1 1/4 C. sugar

Beat egg whites till frothy. Add cream of tartar and beat till soft peaks form. Slowly add sugar and beat till stiff. Drop by teaspoonsfuls onto wax paper or parchment lined cookie sheet and bake at 300' for 20-30 minutes or till edges just begin to color. Watch cookies closely. It depends on what type cookie sheet is used. Times will vary. Makes about 36 cookies.
